ADDICTION!

When life spins out of control - there's always poetry!

Falling and falling with nowhere to land,
Even when grounded my World’s made of sand
No horizon to speak of, nothing within
Need is the guide on the route down to sin.

Hope and all reason have fled long ago,
Betrayal and terror two comrades I know
Unable to stop this: the madness I crave,
The cure: the asylum, a prison or grave.

And then in the darkness there’s sometimes a light
That rescues the shadows from one long dark night.
A face at a window, a voice in my head,
That’s calling me back from the land of the dead.

But no one deserves to share all this pain,
We all should have sunshine after the rain,
It’s too late for me, but you have a way
What would I be if I can’t save your day?
